ricochet
i had a dream almost exactly a year ago that has entirely changed the way i think. before, i thought in words--i was trying at least. i figured it was the way i was supposed to think (whatever that means), but, clearly, that wasn't the case. i think in pictures...scene like things. they're all 3D and they all sort of rotate in my head so i see all kinds of perspectives. kinda like pausing a dream and taking a look at it, except its reality. im not really sure how else to describe it. maybe you know what i'm talking about anyways.
more importantly, though, i really want that dream to come true right about now.
imagine this:
you're looking inside your head, it's just space--totally hollow. kinda looks like the inside of a rotting tree or something, but in the shape of your skull. and then theres a rectangular web, that reaches across the widest part of your head, like right above your ears...around your temples. its catching these things that look like...i dont really know if they look like anything, i guess. but they are ideas. all the ideas are in constant motion and they ricochet off your skull, some getting caught in the web, your brain. thats what's currently on your mind--somes probably good, somes probably bad. just like in real life. one end of the web sticks out of you're head, though. so you have the power to slide it out and shake it off whenever you want. the catch is that you take the risk of losing the good along with the bad or even just the good.
i kinda want to shake it off right about now any how. it's a bit crowded.
